In the heart of Conradie Park, SA’s first fully integrated, mixed-income housing development, you will find Own Haven’s Conradie Park social housing blocks. Own Haven offers modern, comfortable and affordable living with 24-hour security to ensure that you, your family and friends, enjoy a safe and happy environment. Located in Pinelands, on the corner of Jan Smuts Drive and Forest Drive Extension, Conradie Park is a short distance from Howard Shopping Centre, Mutual train station and Cape Town’s major transport routes.
Social Housing is a rental or co-operative housing option for households earning gross income between R1 850 – R22 000 per month. Government funding is provided to Social Housing Institutions who manage the rental units. You then pay a reduced rental amount based on your household income to the Social Housing Institution. To qualify for social housing in Cape Town, you need to be registered on the City of Cape Town’s Housing Needs Database.
Requirements to apply:
• South African Identification (Green book or ID card)
• Aged 18 – 60
• Permanently employed
• Registered on City of Cape Town’s Housing Database
• Basic household monthly income must be less than R22,000
• Good credit profile

Parking is minimal - secured parking will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Before you apply, please note:
- Third party applications will not be considered. The person applying for the unit must be the person that lives in the unit as the legal tenant.
- Subletting is not allowed. Subletting is when the person whose name is on the lease (the legal tenant) does not live in the unit and a friend/family member/third party lives in the unit instead.
- R350 application fee is required. This is a non-refundable application fee so please ensure that you meet the above requirements and the income criteria before applying for a unit. Proof of payment must be submitted with the supporting documents for your application. Paying the R350 does not guarantee that the application will be successful or that the applicant will be allocated a social housing unit to rent.
- All documents are to be scanned and sent as PDFs. Camscanner documents will not be accepted.
